Baby teeth and growing smiles require an
expertise that isn’t taught in dental school. As a board certified pediatric dentist,
Dr. Michael trained specifically in a children’s hospital after dental school in order
to provide comprehensive care - both dentally & medically - to kids of all ages.
Baby teeth aren’t just for babies. They play an important role in the mouth for many years and impact the successful transition into permanent teeth.
While your first baby teeth fall out around age 5 or 6 years, few adults remember
that baby molars don’t fall out until middle school. Baby teeth aren’t just for
babies and play an important role in the mouth for many years and impact the
successful transition into permanent teeth.

TREATMENTS
Protecting the vulnerable, groovy permanent molars with our BPA-free
sealants is an easy and effective treatment for all patients. Consider it a manicure
for your teeth to make them glossy and resistant to food sticking in hard to brush
areas.
SEALANTS
Fluoride hardens the enamel and prevents breakdown that can
cause cavities. Topical fluoride varnish applied at your visits with us provides a
higher concentration to the surface of the teeth in order to get ahead of cavity
formation and beat the sugar bugs to the scene.
Topical Fluoride
Radiographs provide a view of the teeth that goes beyond the eye
so that we can create a prevention plan that gets ahead of dental issues or
diagnose current concerns. Every child and their teeth is different so our plan for
prescribing x-rays is unique for each patient as well.
Digital X-Rays
Treating decay with tooth-colored fillings allows for both a
restoration of function and cosmetically pleasing result. Our fillings are BPA-free
and mimic the makeup of your natural teeth so that they feel like they’re not even
there.
WHITE FILLINGS
When baby teeth have cavities that extend into the nerve or
experience a significant trauma, we are able to provide nerve treatments that can
save the tooth without the stigma of a root canal.
Nerve Treatments
Dentistry can be intimidating to people of all ages, especially
children. Our use of laughing gas provides patients with a safe option to provide
an even easier experience when they’re feeling a little nervous about their visit.
Nitrous Oxide
Every patient that walks through our door is unique and we are
pride ourselves in providing patients with all medical, dental, and sensory
backgrounds a dental home where they can be comfortable.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Playground accidents and sports-related traumas are
exceptionally common in children. We provide front tooth restorations that will
restore the function of your tooth and allow you to forget that it even occurred.
COSMETIC PROCEDURES
Routine examinations and cleanings allow for our patients to stay
ahead of any developing dental issues in order to set the stage for a lifetime of a
healthy smile.
CHECK-UPS
When teeth experience large decay, an infection, or a serious
trauma, sometimes the best option is to remove the tooth in order to prevent
further complications. Our extractions are provided atraumatically and gently in
order to allow our patients to focus on their upcoming tooth fairy visit instead of
the procedure itself.
EXTRACTIONS
Life happens and not all dental concerns come up within normal
business hours or with any warning. We make ourselves available for our
patients in order to provide easy access to care in times of urgency.
EMERGENCIES
While not an orthodontic practice, we provide an
assessment of your child’s alignment at every visit in order to guide you through
the developing dentition and when orthodontic intervention is relevant.
Orthodontic Evaluation
Sometimes the dental needs of our patients aren’t
achievable in a traditional dental setting. We partner with Lurie Children’s
Hospital of Chicago and in-office anesthesiologists to give our patients options to
complete treatment atraumatically and safely.
